More terror in the air, this time in the skies over Canada when a man on an internal flight from Ottawa to Winnipeg was seen trying forcibly to open the door to the cockpit. The passengers' fears, however , were not immediately calmed when they found out he was the pilot. An airline spokeswoman said the pilot had left his position to use the toilet only to find the door back into the cockpit had jammed and would not open. Eventually the crew managed to remove the door from its hinges to let him back in. The spokeswoman admitted the incident had been "a bit dramatic" but insisted that at no time were the passengers in any danger.
